             I don’t agree cohabitation without marriage. These days, many people think, ‘we love each other very much, so what?’ Of course, people have the right of choice for their love, but I think you should to think your future before choice. Cohabitation’s influences harm more than your thinking. First, cohabitation means that you cannot protect by marriage-law. For example, cohabitation couple cannot claim alimony, separating property, the right of succession. Second, marriage traditionally is the four ceremonial occasions of coming of age, wedding, funeral, and ancestral rites. If cohabitation is acceptable, marriage’s holiness and responsibility disappear. So, marriage will be optional. Third, I think Korea’s society has negative view of the cohabitation. Especially, women incur blame for cohabitation without marriage because of emphasizing a chaste maiden. So, women who cohabited in former days wasn’t honorable to people. Marriage is a wise judgment for your happiness.

             When I was eleven years old, I had a big incident at the home. My brother’s friend ran into home and cried out for help. Just, I and grandfather stayed in home. So, we wondered why he asked for help us. He told us that my younger brother hurt his face badly. When my younger brother came home, I almost fainted from shock because his face was a bloody pulp. I screamed and got out a room because I was terrible to see blood. He hurt his face because he fell down rock face. In former days, my grandfather said him not to go rock face. After all, he disobeyed my grandfather. My grandfather called 119 for ambulance without delay because my brother was bleeding profusely. That moment, a good neighbor took my brother to hospital. My brother was closed the wound in forehead and cheeks. We found enlightenment to listen to elder people.

             I am 20 years old, so my history is 20 years. I was born in 1991. My birthday is November twelfth. My birthplace is Yeoju. My younger brother was born in 1993. Next year, my younger sister was born in 1994. My family members are my grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, uncle, younger brother, younger sister and me. But, my father died by accident in 1994.

             When I was 5 years old, I went to kindergarten. Dojeon kindergarten was placed in Dojeon-ri. The kindergarten was operated by convent. When I was 8 years old, I entered the Dojeon elementary school. The Dojeon elementary school was very small, so I knew all students’ name. When I was 12 years old, I began to go to church. I graduated in 2004. When I was 14 years old, I entered the Yeogang middle school. The Yeogang middle school was small, so I knew all teachers’ name. I graduated in 2007. When I was 17 years old, I entered the Yeogang high school. First, I didn’t adapt the high school because there were many male pupils. For a long time, I did my best. I graduated in 2010.

             When I was 20 years old, I entered the Sungshin Women’s University. My major is history because I am interested in history. My heart fluttered in anticipation. I joined a club in DSM. DSM is federation. There were Korea University, Yonsei University, Hanyang University, Konkuk University, Seoul Women’s University, Sejong University, Sungshin Women’s University and more university. I attended school from my house, so I was tired. In September, I entered Gyunggi-do’s dormitory. I met many people in university, club and dormitory. The people are important to me.

Today

Today, I didn't want to go school because I was tired.
When I arrived at school, I was sick.
So, I tried to go hospital, but I didn't go hospital.
I prayed for a cure for my sickness, I got well.
It's a mercy.

Secret Garden

I watched 'Secret Garden'.
Originally, I didn't want to watch 'Secret Garden'.

             I like many things and I don’t like many things. I like drama. I watched many dramas. The drama of dramas is Sungkyunkwan Scandal. It had nice story and nice characters. The protagonist of protagonists is Songjoonggi. I like Songjoonggi because he had big smile. I like Giant, too. Giant is long story, but it was not boring. It was very interesting every time. I like variety programs because it was gave me laugh. I don’t like current affairs TV shows and documentary.

             I like galbi because I like meat. The galbi is sweet. I like pizza and chicken. I like kind of pot stews. I like chocolate and coffee, but I don’t like Americano. I like café mocha or mocha latte. I like whipping cream, too. Therefore, I like sweet coffee. I don’t like sundae and broiled small intestine of a cow.

             I like to take a rest. I like to take a nap. I like to spend time on the computer. For example, I was up all night with computer. I like to arrange books on shelf. I don’t like a room in a mess. So, I used to clean up a room. I don’t like exercise because I felt my strength decreasing markedly these days.

             I like a person that has a strong sense of responsibility. I don’t like a person that is lack all sense of responsibility. I like a humorous person. I like believer because I am believer.

             A person had inclination and individuality. So, people can't give me a reproachful look. I think that people respect a person's personality.

I was sad because of separation.
We separated from missionary and his wife.

I went to jjimjilbang with my family.

Whenever I was hungry, I used to cook instant ramyeon easily. First, you prepare ingredients of the ramyeon. For example, you prepare instant ramyeon and water and egg and pot. Second, you pour approximately three cup of water into pot. Third, you heat water until the water begins to boil. Fourth, when the water is sufficiently boiled, you put noodles and ramyeon powder into the pot. Fifth, if you desire to put egg and other ingredients, you just put into the pot. Sixth, you let in simmer on low heat for about three minutes. For reference, you try not to overcook. Seventh, you stir noodles with chopsticks. Eighth, you turn off the gas stove. Finally, you prepare to eat ramyeon. For reference, ramyeon and kimchi are in perfect harmony. From now on, you just enjoy delicious ramyeon because of easy process.

             I am a passive person because I was fearful of making a mistake in front of people. My family and friends are sure about this because they have experienced my introversion. For example, I was uneasy speaking with an unfamiliar person, so I didn’t easily make friends. When I entered a university, at first my friends thought that I hated to talk with them. Also, I can’t voice my opinion because I am afraid of making an error. For example, when I was questioned by professor, my tongue was tied. So, I didn’t well participative grade. Also, I am indecisive person. For example, I found it difficult to select a restaurant. So, it is wise that I don’t selection. My life is rough and difficult because of my passive personality, but I will improve my personality.

I love my netbook that has special meaning for me because I hadn’t own my computer. When I was a young woman, I made use of public computer with my younger brother and younger sister. So, computer used to break down because of my younger brother that used to play many computer games. I hadn’t have enough my free time because of them. When I owned netbook in September, I couldn't contain my joy. It is made by Samsung and outside color is navy, but inside color is black. It is carved gentle wavy pattern and peculiar Samsung logo on the surface. Samsung logo is silver and it is situated the right side. Its shape is rectangularity, but its points are round. Its screen is small and weight is light. So, when I went to school or went to home, I could move it easily. It has small digital livecam and large black keyboard and touch pad. The right and left sides of a netbook has holes for connecting with different USB drive and machine. I owned only my own computer at first.

Return the seoul

I went to Yeoju.
When I returned the seoul, I was an hour late because a terrible traffic jam.

             Yeoju has many historical sites. So, I like Yeoju, because my major is history. I am going to introduce three historical sites.

             First, I introduce the house of Empress Myeongseong's birth. Empress Myeongseong is the empress of Emperor Gojong. Emperor Gojong is the twenty-sixth ruler of the Joseon Dynasty. Empress Myeongseong’s lived in from her birth until she was eight. Empress Myeongseong was murdered by the Japanese in 1895. There was erected a monument in the house. A monument was erected inscribed with the word “Empress Myeongseong Tangangguri”. This word’s mean is the village where Empress Myeongseong was born. There is the memorial hall in front of house. There is a display of some of the empress’ personal belongings and documents.

             Second, I introduce the Godalsaji. Godalsa is temple. This temple was buitlt by King Gyeongdeok in Silla Dynasty. But, Godalsa wasn’t exist, just remained relics. There were national treasure no. 4, 6, 7 and 8. There was found unaffected grandeur. At a guess, Godalsa is very big temple. Currently, officials are working to restore the temple.

             Third, I introduce the Pasa castle. Pasa castle’s circumference is approximately 943 meter. So, If you walk Pasa castle, the necessary time is approximately one hour. Pasa castle fortress was built along the ridge of the Pasa castle’s peak. Pasa castle was rather well-preserved. Pasa castle’s strong point is to observe Han River’s upriver and downriver. Pasa castle is strategic position.

             Yeoju has historical values. So, I am proud of Yeoju. Yeoju has more remains and historical sites. Some other time, I will introduce other places and remains.

Yesterday was my parents' wedding anniversay.
But, I can't go my house.

Gyungi-do's domitory  hold a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding.
So, we attended ceremony.
The ceremony was held with guests from all walks of life.
Some people had a dinner, but other people should wait to have a dinner.
So, I was irritated.

             I was born in Yeoju. So, my native place is Yeoju. I left my native place in October. At present time, I live in Sungbuk-gu Ssangmun-dong. I often missed the native place because I often felt lonely. My family lives in Yeoju. So, I used to go Yeoju in weekend. Yeoju has many historical sites, so I like Yeoju. I am going to introduce three historical sites.

First, I introduce the tomb of King Sejong. King Sejong is the fourth king in Joseon. King Sejong was one of our history’s greatest rulers. He left a great achievement. In my opinion, his supreme achievement is to invent Korean Alphabet, Hangul. The tomb of King Sejong is very big grave.

             Second, I introduce the tomb of King Hyojong. King Hyojong is the seventeenth king in Joseon. Hyojong is the second son of Injo. His older brother is the Crown Prince Sohyun. But he died of the disease. King Hyojong made a plan to revenge Ching Dynasty because of Byungjahoran. Byungjahoran is invasion of Ching Dynasty. But King Hyoujong’s plan is failure. The tomb of King Hyojong is preserved tradition.

             Third, I introduce the Silleuksa. Silleuksa is temple. This temple built by Wonhyo in Silla. It became famous with the death of Naongseonsa in Goryeo. Naongseonsa is the great Buddhist monk. The Silleuksa is very beautiful. The Silleuksa harmonize with nature. The Silleuksa has seven treasures and one tangible cultural relic. So, many people come to visit Silleuksa for the surrounding majestic scenery.

             Yeoju has historical values. Yeoju has many more historical remains. Next week, I will introduce more historical remains.

             I have lived in Gyeonggi-do’s dormitory. Let me introduce Gyeonggi-do’s dormitory. Gyeonggi-do’s dormitory is operated by Gyeonggi-do because mostly Gyeonggi-do’s students can’t dwell in the University’s dormitories. Gyeonggi-do’s dormitory is located in Seoul Dobong-gu Ssangmun-dong. It takes about 40 minutes from Gyeonggi-do’s dormitory to Sungshin Women’s University.

             Many people dwell in the dormitory. They go to various universities. For example, the third story’s people are twelve. A room number 311 dwell two people. I dwell in a room number 311. My roommate Jung-yunhee is Duksung Women’s University student. A room number 312 dwell two people. Mun-yerin is Kookmin University student. Song-hyunmin is Kyunghee University student. A room number 313 dwell two people. Sung-sohyun is Seoul Women’s University student. Park-jayoung is Dongguk University student. A room number 315 dwell two people. O-yeji is Korea University student. Sim-giju is Korea University student. A room number 316 dwell two people. Han-areum is Duksung Women’s University student. Yu-juyeon is Konkuk University student. A room number 317 dwell two people. Kang-sunhee is Seoul Women’s University student. Jo-heryung is Duksung Women’s University student. So much university and major are mixed. It is useful to getting to know persons.

             Gyeonggi-do’s dormitory has four building. Two building are dwelt in men, two building are dwelt in women. It has dining hall, small library, small health club and so forth. It is useful. Its curfew hour is twelve thirty a.m. It is priced twelve thousand won in a month. There are two dormitory inspectors and two housemistresses. It seems to be my house.

Today is the final day.  We had a breakfast in Dungjirestaurant. Most people didn't eat breakfast, but I ate breakfast. We ate stew made with frozen pollack.

We arrived at the March 15th Masan-si national Cemetery. It was the direct cause at the April 19th revolution. April 19th revolution was the movement which showed the power of the people in opposition to dictatorial government.

We arrived at the Changwon Sungsan Paechong. Paechong is shell heap. It was verified to live people from the Iron Age to the Present. At that time, people had eaten many clams. Clamshells were piled up. So, clamshells became shell heaps.

We arrived at the Woolju Cheonjeon-ri Gakseok. Gakseok is carved out of stone. We walked to look at carved out of stone. We were so hot that it is hard to walk. The stone was carved various kinds of picture. It had been carving from the New Stone Age to Silla. The rock was under water owing to the flood.

We had a lunch in Daraejungsik. We ate bean-paste potstew and steamed eggs and so forth.

We arrived at Unmunsa. There was Buddhist temple. In Koryo, there was occurred the revival of Silla. In the temple, there are many remains.

The executives split the students into three buses. So, I and my friend moved the second bus. We started to Seoul at four p.m. I slept long time in bus. We dropped into resting place. We arrived at nine. I was very, very tired. I arrived at home, I was fagged out. But, I will explore historic sites.

The Sungshin Women’s University has two cafeterias. First, you have to select cafeteria. For reference, the cafeterias were operated from ten thirty a.m to six thirty p.m. Second, if the cafeteria crowed, you should save a seat. Third, you have to select menu. Menu is variety of food and price. Fourth, if you select menu, you have to pay money to person. Fifth, you have to give a color code of the token. Sixth, you should hold a spoon and fair of chopsticks. Seventh, you have to line up to receive food. For reference, lines are different for food. Eighth, you have to receive food and sit at table and eat food. Finally, you have to throw away leftover and give back dishes.

Diary (September, 16th, 2010)

  We had a breakfast in Hakdong big crab restaurant specializing in sliced raw fish. We didn't eat sliced raw fish. We just ate a kimchi stew.
  We arrived at Geoje-goverment office. This structure was old structure. It was built in Joseon dynasty.
  Haman is long away off from Geoje. So, we spent a long time on movement. We arrived at Haman-gun Dohang-ri ancient tombs. The ancient tombs were estimated Arakaya's tomb. Many tombs are flocked. The ancient tombs were the ruling classes' tombs.
  We had a lunch in Sonamu. We ate rice cake galbi. Galbi is the ribs. It was very delicious. I was very, very happy to eat delicious foods.
  Changnyeong-gun Songhyeondong ancient tombs took up a position on the ridge of the mountain. Many ancient tombs were robbed by the Japaness.
  Silla King Jinheung chukgyungbi erected by King Jinheung. Because King Jinheung conquered Bitbalkaya. Chukgyungbi is a tombstone. A tombstone's epitaph was worn, so we didn't read epitaph. But it is very important historical material.
  A three-storied stone pagoda locates in Changnyeon-gun Suljeong-ri. It was built in unified Silla. It showed diffusion Gyeongju's stone pagodas' pattern. Mr. Ha's straw roofed house in Changnyeong-gun Suljeong-ri is just a little way from the three-storied stone pagoda. This house has the south's local color.
  We arrived at King Suro's consort royal tomb. King Suro was Kaya's king. King Suro's consort was an Indian. The front of tomb remained Persia pagoda's stone from India.
  We have a dinner in Geumokjeong. Most food was delicious. We lodged at One motel. We allocated a room number 409.
  We went to karaoke. Most people drank, but I didn't drink. We created a pleasant atmosphere. We sang a song and dance. Really, today was funny day.

             We had a breakfast in Sunghwa restaurant. We went to Mooneicjeom’s cotton growing. Mooneicjeom brought cottons from China to Goryeo. Goryeo’s people could wear cotton clothes. So, Goryeo’s people could spend a soft winter.

We arrived at Dansoksaji. There was Buddhist temple. Dansok Buddhist temple was burned in Jungyujaeran. Now, there were two pagodas. Two pagodas were three-storied pagodas.

We arrived at Dansunghyanggyo. Hyanggyo is the Confucian temple and school to teach local students in the Joseon Dynasty period. Dansunghyanggyo was peculiar structure in Gyeongsangnam-do.

We arrived at Jinju castle. Jinju castle was very beautiful. I want to visit again. It was famous for victory in the cause of justice in Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. We had lunch in Seoul Garden. We ate Galbitang.

We arrived at Hansan island. We boarded on a ship. I was excited. Hansan island was very beautiful because of many trees and blue water. It was famous for Battle of Hansan Island in the cause of justice in Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592.

We arrived at Geoje’s prisoner of war camp. Geoje island met the conditions. Prisoner occurred by the Korean War. Geoje’s prisoner of war camp had experience the tragedy by ideology.

We had a meal at evening. We had marine bean-paste potstew. It was delicious meal. We lodged at Keunsol motel. We allocated a room number 103. Originally, a room number was 201, but other friends required to change the room. We shared the same room with ten people. I had a good time with friends at night.

Netbook

           I am going to describe about the netbook. It is special meaning for me. I possessed netbook in September. Netbook’s color is navy blue. It is small and light. It is 10.2 inch. So, it is easy to move for me. When I possessed, I was very happy because I didn’t have computer. It is my treasure.

             I’m Sungshin Women’s University student. My major is history. We explored a historic site. We went to Gyeongsangnam-do. We should meet at eight forty a.m. But I woke up at eight thirty-five a.m. I was amazed. I was in a big rush. I was late for our appointment. Fortunately, I arrived at eight fifty a.m. It is a mercy. We arrived at nine ten a.m. We dropped into resting place. We had a lunch in resting place. I had the stomach full.

             First, we arrived at Nongwaljeong. Nongwaljeong is pavilion. Nongwaljeong was burned, so the ruins of a fire left. But, scenery was beautiful. Nongwaljeong had clear water and fresh air.

             Second, we arrived at Haksaru. Haksaru is a traditional structure.  Haksaru is well-matched structure. Haksaru is the second floors.

             Third, we arrived at Sangrim. Sangrim is forest. Sangrim had been existed since unified Silla. Sangrim is prevented from being flooded. Sangrim was made by Choichiwon.

             Fourth, we arrived at Dukcheon-seowon. Seowon is a private school. Originally, Dukcheon-seowon’s name was Duksan-seowon. In 1609, Duksan-seowon was named Dukcheon-seowon. Dukcheon-seowon was a Josik’s mortuary. Josik emphasized a practice. So, Gyeongsangnam-do’s many people was raised an army in the cause of justice in Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592.

             Finally, we arrived at Sancheong civilian’s carnage site. The place was plaintive. The minimum four hundred people were expired by cognate because of the Korean War. We had experience the tragedy of fratricidal war.

             We had a good meal at evening. We lodged at CF motel. We allocated a room number 211. We shared the same room with eight people. I was tired because I spent a long time in a bus. However, I had a good time.

             My name is Gillim Kim. I’m 20 years old. I’m Sungshin Women’s University student. My major is history. I’m interested in history. I live in Seoul. Originally, I lived in Yeoju for 20 years. Yeoju is famous for ceramics, rice, sweet potatos, etc. My blood type is O. My birthday is November twelfth.

My family’s number is five. My family’s members are father, mother, younger brother, younger sister. My father studied history in Sungkyunkwan University. Nowadays, my father used to study history. My mother worked store for 14 years. Now, she's taking a rest from store. My younger brother and my younger sister are highschool students. My family is at peace with each other.
